Worship

Each week as we worship, we seek to honor God. We give thanks, sing songs of praise, and meet God in our moments of prayer. We then listen to God’s Word through song, scripture, and sermon. Finally, we respond with our tithes and offerings and our renewed commitment to serve God in our daily lives. Consider how often you want to attend worship, if you want to join us for special services, and if you’ll commit to pray or join our prayer group on Sunday mornings.

The journey to become a deeply committed Christian means we are deliberate about growing in our faith. Daily scripture reading and prayer, Bible study and Christian fellowship are key ways to know God and grow deeper in relationships. We invite you to step up your commitment to growing in your faith by doing at least three of the following in the coming year: read the daily GPS, participate in a small group or class, read a book about faith, attend a retreat, chat with friends about faith.

serve

We are the body of Christ, called to go out into the world and care for those in need. Whether providing backpacks or serving with Loving Neighbors, we have opportunities to demonstrate Christ’s love in tangible ways and make a difference in our community. In the coming year we invite you to step up your commitment in serving by doing at least two of the following: The Garden Gives Back Sunday, donating to the Food Pantry, serving with Loving Neighbors, volunteering with children or youth, serving within the church, giving your time in the community.

Consistently, our guests say they came to The Garden because someone personally invited them. Jesus calls us to share our faith with others, both by our deeds and by our words. We invite you to step up your commitment to sharing your faith in the coming year by: invite at least 2 friends who don’t have a church home, intentionally connecting with your neighbors or co-workers, and sharing about The Garden on social media.

Your annual giving is an expression of worship and an investment in the lives of every person impacted by The Garden’s ministry. The scripture calls us to give to God. Many at The Garden do this, some give when they can and some don’t give financially. We’d like to ask you to step up your giving to God through the church in 2024 in the following three ways: returning a commitment card in 2024, increasing your pledge, or giving a certain portion of your income.
