Food. Freely Given.
A leap of faith...
During a crucial time of transition, when it didn't really make earthly sense- we opened our food pantry. 20% of our population lives in poverty, and food insecurity is widespread. Instead of worrying about how we would fund this mission, we started it, trusting in God, and have had an abundance to give away ever since.
To add to the effort of meeting those needs, we partnered with the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia to open a community food pantry. We were intentional in our design as a client choice pantry, meaning that we don't prep bags or determine anyone's need. Our clients shop like anyone would in a grocery store setting.
Every first and third Saturday of each month, from 9am-noon, families and individuals are able to shop our food pantry at no cost to them.
If you have a need for food, you are welcome. We will not ask questions, we will not turn you away, and we will not judge you.
If you'd like to volunteer, donate, or have questions about shopping, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
